“ The main motivation that spurs me to draw is to “capture” the image per se, with no filters and no afterthoughts.
When I draw, it is my gaze that guides my hand that transfigures on paper what I see or what I think I’m seeing, with no corrections, no trial & test, without retracing the lines, with no hesitation because I think that what’s important is not what objectively is or seems to be, but only what I see and not exclusively with my eyes. For this reason my figures don’t need to be perfect and don’t necessarily have to represent reality exactly as it is, but rather they must “be” what my subconscious sees and my hand reproduces.
My drawings are born on a white sheet of paper, in black & white, ink, acrylic colours and the pen, alternating or all together. The work, re-elaborated using Photoshop, is printed in different formats on PVC, an absolutely unalterable element in time. “
