Simone Cosac
Simone Cosac was born in 1962 in Rio de Janeiro into a family of Arab origins. There, she went on to become a lawyer.
Later she moved to San Francisco where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. She then lived 15 years in Italy where she started a business activity by creating her own brand in the field of niche perfumes, catering to the concept, packaging, and graphic component. Her life changed again in 2017, and now she lives with her family in Connecticut, USA.
Her family’s origins and her history make her experiences very articulated; this existential complexity is embodied in her artistic expression. In this current period of her life, Diana is able to totally dedicate herself to painting.
What she intends to express most of all now is what she retains to be the intrinsic element in every woman. She sees a woman’s strength constantly challenged by a society that devalues the role of mother, wife, as well ast he struggle to build her carrer.
Painting and drawing have always constituted a backdrop in Simone’s life, everywhere she was and in every business activity she was involved in, and they have always afforded her freedom of expression. For Simone, art is the means to express her pain and loss.
Livin'art proposes a Series of her works where this theme is fully expressed.
