Maniscalchi (Farriers)
Maniscalchi is a unique photography project that stems from the desire to give voice and visibility to a trade that is – as we sometimes say – an art.
In doing so, in his photos Nicola Ughi unites a strong documentary motivation with a spontaneous aesthetic research.
The result are 8 interesting, suggestive and aesthetically impeccable diptychs that, in addition to conferring added value to the trade, pay homage – thanks to his fascinating portrait photos – to the true protagonists of the project: the farriers.
